1. What is your favourite book from an author from your country?:

There is a comicline I like the most. It is called „De boeboeks“ Pit en Puf van Marc de Bel.

3. Which movie from your country is your favourite?:

Les Barons

This movie is playing in belgium but it is french language.  Unfortunately I‘ ve found only a trailer with belgique subtitles. Maybe there is also a movie with english language.

4. What is your favourite dish?:

It is „Stoofvlees met Frieten“ (auf deutsch: Rindfleisch-Eintopf mit Pommfrites). My favourite way is to combine it with mayonaise.

Hier haben wir ein Rezept gefunden für Menschen, die es nachkochen wollen.

5. With which phrase could we surprise locals?:

Twee pintjes en ne cola, alstublieft.

Zwei Bier und eine Cola, bitte.

6. Why should we travel to your country/state/region?:

There are some cities you have to visit:

Gent: Nice old innercity, with a stronghold to get an overview of the city. Most things can be visited by feet.
Nice scottisch Pub with lots of whisky – Glenngarry (not easy to find)

Bruges: Of course you have to watch the movie „In Bruges“ (auf deutsch: “Brügge sehen und sterben”). There are plenty of websites where you can find the shooting-places. (Zum Beispiel hier: http://www.filmtourismus.de/brugge-sehen-und-sterben/)

Antwerp has nice museums too.

Diksmuide: To learn a bit about the belgian worldwar history it’s nice to visit the Flanders Fields museum in Diksmuide, together with ‚de dodengang‘ trenches. Diksmuide is western of Bruges.

But my favourite place is the sea. I like to have long walkaways on the beaches. There is not a single spot I could recommend. Just go there and feel the wind.
7. Do you have any other tipps for visitors of you country?

Hedre is one nice tip:

Use-IT Maps. https://www.use-it.travel/home
Different cities have a center where you can find maps with extra things to see.
